Large Antique French Figural Bronze mantel Clock by G. Pecheur ca 1840

 

This Impressive Antique gilt and silvered bronze clock is made in France around 1840-1850 by  G. Pecheur

Clock is surmounted by two figurines representing a romantic scene with Noble Couple.

The lady and man are very well and detailed dressed.  

Extremely fine ornate gilt and silvered bronze base with floral garlands.

Enamelled dial with Roman numerals has some hairlines.

Movement is with silk suspension, chiming at the 1/1 and 1/2 hours on a silvered bronze bell.

Movement is stamped: Japy Freres Medailles D’ Or.

Key, bell and pendulum included.

This outstanding quality clock is in good condition due to the age.
