Antique French Louis Philippe Gilt Bronze Figural mantel Clock ca 1840

This very impressive Antique Louis Philippe period gilt Bronze Clock is made in France around 1840.

Clock is surmounted by eared vase and two studying Putti figurines.

Extremely fine ornate gilt bronze is with a lot of fine details.

Clock case is flanked by two dragons. In centre is a globe with square, compasses, palette.

Bronze relief dial is with enamelled cartouches and blue Roman numerals.

Movement with silk suspension is in working condition is chiming at the 1/1 and 1/2 hours on a silvered bronze bell.

Movement is stamped:  T.R.C.

Key, bell and pendulum included.

Cartouche with numeral II is with old restoration. Cartouche with numeral V has slightly different colour.
